For more than a decade, the Fire Kills brand we created has raised awareness of fire risk in homes; one in four now recognise the iconic branding, and 87% of these people trust the brand.
But the Department of Communities and Local Government wanted to make sure that people from hard to reach communities also understood the message.
The visual cues we created for the refreshed brand help to deliver fire prevention instructions, without the need for reams of copy. A new suite of leaflets was subsequently designed, test with audiences and implemented.
Fire Kills communications are now focused, firm but never patronising or commanding.
